Hi all, two quick updates for you all here on R2R:
First, I’m going to Malta! As you can hear about in my fifth PhD vlog, embedded below. In this video, the first of a three-part series, I look forward to my first ever academic conference presentation. I talk about the application process, the two videos that will follow this one — and a little bit of actual literature-based content, as I introduce you to the topic of my presentation, which will be called ‘The War on Terroir: Biology as (unstable) space in Jeff VanderMeer’s “Southern Reach” trilogy’.

Secondly, I realise I didn’t post a blog update about my recent Inciting Sparks article on the (deplorable) state of local government policy when it comes to protecting and maintaining Edinburgh’s invaluable public library service.
